Day 3

Wow! This is tough and fun!

Today was one of those days where I realized that I am trying to cram a jillion things into my day, mainly because I am so busy at work. What I have found is that exercise is my new stress relief! There is nothing better than going to the gym and forgetting about the pile of paperwork on my desk or all the to-dos on my check list.

I am totally in love with tracking my food on myfitnesspal.com. I have it on my phone as an app, but also add some items online. Join and be my friend... tm_7704!

Food:
Breakfast: 1 scoop protein shake
Brunch: egg and a few beans.. a little salsa
Lunch: 6" subway sandwich. Same as yesterday (it was the other half) =)
Dinner: 4 oz boiled chicken (red chili powder, garlic and bouillon), 1/4 avocado, 1/4 cup pinto beans.
Naughties: 2 thin mints and a sliver of danish.... I can't resist.

Exercise: Ran a mile.

  1. As suspected my waste is 36" on the tape measure. My goal is 34". The clothing industry has us all fooled because I have some 34" cargo shorts that still fit fairly loose. My dockers on the other hand are a bit more true to size. The myfitnesspal does make it easy to keep track of stuff and makes it tough to cheat if you see that calorie counter counting up towards your limit with every item.

  2. Nothing like the good ol' American "feel good sizes", as I like to call them.
I know that tracker is fun... and hard! I wanted to cheat with an extra thin mint, but ended up marking it. I was still under calories for the day... way over on protein. I am trying to get Frank to join. Send him a text. =)

  3. I keep saying "today is the day I'm really going to buckle down". Obviously it hasn't happened. I do still run 2-4 times a week. I ran Monday - 3 miles of hills, but I was supposed to do a speed workout yesterday... didn't happen. And I want to start the P90X program. I figure I want to make my goal by my big 3-0, which actually gives me a bit more than 81 days... but I would rather start now and reach my goal well before the deadline. I just need to get my lazy butt out of bed in the mornings!
I'm going to try out that website too. Thanks for all the suggestions.
    You are awesome Tonya!

  4. Sherry! I am jealous that you run so much. I am happy to make a mile. I am going to do a 5k on St. Patty's day. We'll see how much of it I run. Let me know if you need to "borrow" my p90x. It is the best!
