Next time I hope to not have selfies...but I promised pics, so you get pics. =)
Okay, so the first day is one of the easiest days, right? Well, I find when I go into healthy mode I have one little tiny part of my brain that keeps saying "make cookie dough... do it". That particular craving drives me nuts! It usually comes on about the time I am really stressed or busy, like when I was working on my MBA. I think I broke a record of making cookies and desserts that year. This year I have made cookie dough twice! The first time was for a client, so I didn't eat any dough.. the second was last weekend... sheer indulgence knowing I was setting off to make a big change. It's not to say I will never eat cookie dough again, because for me that is not sustainable. It is to say I will make a healthier cookie dough... a little yogurt... some wheat germ... Recipe to come!
Alright, so the goal here tonight is to not talk about cookie dough, but to talk about my day.
Food:
Breakfast: one protein shake (this stuff is great! You can buy it at Sam's club for about $20).
Lunc
Dinner: chicken: (okay, don't get on me.. it was a long day and I wasn't quite prepared. I promise you great recipes, great food!)
Snacks: Orange and an apple
This was not enough food for me today, it is just what I ate due to time constraints... I will be a little more responsible tomorrow. =)
Workout
Walked 3/4 of a mile. (I was waiting for a class to start)
Hip-hop class (24 Hour fitness. 1 hour of sweaty, somewhat coordinated dance). This class is great because it gets my mind off of work.
My stats... for those who know me well, you know that I have avoided the scale for a long long time. Even when I was pregnant I threatened the nurse with her life if she disclosed my weight. Yes, I have issues! =) ...
The scale I am using is awesome! I bought it at Big 5 sporting goods for $19.99. No matter what scale you buy, be sure to use the same scale each week to track your results. Scale jumping can cause problems in your stats. i.e. I weighed in on Conrad's scale a few weeks ago, it calculates body fat in a different manner than mine, so there is an 8% discrepancy! My scale weighs at the higher percentage, which I am fine with as it will motivate me to work harder.
Weight: 129.3
Body Fat: 24.3%
Water: 52.3%
Muscle 32.6%
I have a great dinner planned out for tomorrow. I will post the recipe in the morning!
